- MotionDSP recommends high-performance workstation and notebook GPUs (AMD FirePro and NVIDIA Quadro/Tesla), though consumer (AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce) GPUs are compatible with Ikena GPU and Ikena ISR. Performance depends on the number of compute shaders (AMD) or CUDA cores (NVIDIA), and clock speed.
- For processing of a single stream of standard definition video (640x480), MotionDSP recommends at minimum of 400 compute shaders (AMD) and 128 CUDA cores (NVIDIA) for real-time performance.
- For 720P HD and multiple streams MotionDSP recommends at least 800 compute shaders (AMD) and 512 CUDA cores (NVIDIA) for best performance.
