With the latest release of Forensic and Spotlight we have worked hard to make it faster to achieve the results you need, be that enhancing or redacting video.
The 8.9 release includes improvements such as:
- Audio playback speeds
We have added new Audio Playback Speeds of 1.2x, 1.5x and 2x to allow better audio visual synchronization whilst playing back at higher speeds. - Object resizing improvements
We have improved the way that objects are resized using the corner handles, they are now much easier to use at any zoom level. We have also improved Manual Tracking to allow object resizing on the fly, greatly improving the speed of redaction! - New Filter Box
We have improved the way filters can be added or removed to have the most used filters available without cluttering the layout. - Updated System Scaling
We have adjusted how system scaling works with windows and components, so that things like buttons and layouts on high resolution monitors are what you expect. - Improved timeline navigator marking
Based on your feedback we’ve enlarged the timeline navigator markers to make it easier to work with the timeline. - Improved frame geometry for embedding and overlays
We’ve improved how the software deals with objects so that they are more robust and performant. - Bug Fixes/General Improvements
Customers with a current subscription or active support contracts should receive notification to automatically update to the latest version, or have the option to manually download if required.
