MotionDSP’s Benjamin Solhjem to Present at Digital Forensic Summit in Santa Barbara

MotionDSP, a leading provider of image processing and computer vision software, announced its plans to present at the 2015 Digital Forensic Summit, to be held on August 7-8 at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Benjamin Solhjem will demonstrate the capabilities of its Ikena Forensic software, and outline specific customer applications where MotionDSP’s software can help answer critical questions and solve cases.

Benjamin Solhjem will participate on the “Forensic Video Enhancement” panel, and join the networking event titled “Using Computer Vision to Reduce Forensic Analyst Time,” taking place on Friday, August 7, 2015.

“We are working within a number of industries—including law enforcement, transportation, research and academic labs—who can take advantage of our Forensics video enhancement software,” said Benjamin Solhjem, MotionDSP Product Manager. “With the advent of drones and increased use of police dash and body cameras, and, of course existing closed-circuit cameras, we can help the people responsible for solving problems and answering questions take immediate action from thousands of hours of video.”

The Digital Forensic Summit is a fast-paced educational forensics conference, presented by the American Board of Recorded Evidence (ABRE), and designed for those who are, or want to be, triers of truth. The collective experience of the summit lecturers spans almost a million hours, thousands of court cases, and the development of major industry methodologies and software. Attendees will learn the latest techniques, newest tools and best practices from the industry’s most respected experts, and in a format designed to accommodate all levels of career proficiency.

Video plays an important role in our lives, from identifying a suspect in a robbery to finding the source of a forest fire. MotionDSP’s software provides experts with the ability to use the data in the video pixels to gain valuable insights about what’s happening around the world.
